Jacob Elordi lifts lid on what sex scenes with Margot Robbie are really like
Jacob Elordi opened up about passion on screen with Margot Robbie, and it's not what you would expect. Wuthering Heights hit theaters on Valentine's weekend
Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights was branded one of the steamiest movies to hit the theaters this month.
Now, star of the show, Jacob Elordi, has opened up about filming the passionate scenes on screen with his leading lady Margot Robbie, and his blunt verdict on them is not what you would expect him to say.
Jacob, 28, gave his perspective on the love scenes with the Barbie actress and revealed he took a no nonsense approach to filming them. He went as far as to compare filming steamy Wuthering Heights sex scenes with Margot to 'fight or dance sequences.'
Speaking to The Sun, he said of the scenes, "It's like, 'Action' and it's like a horse at the race track — straight out of the gates. It's no different to choreographing a fight scene or a dance sequence.
"It's super technical, especially the scene where, it's not a sex scene, but where I'm on top [of Margot] with my hands — that's choreographed because, in that kind of light, you only have so much space to move.
"So what you do has to fit in the frame and work with the lighting."
Fans were delighted when the famous romantic drama Wuthering Heights made its theatrical debut in theaters on Friday, February 13 the-mirror-icon_entertainment_movies_margot-robbie.
The film is adapted from Emily Brontë's 1847 novel, following the forbidden love story between Catherine Earnshaw, a woman from a wealthy family in 18th-century England, and a lower-class homeless orphan named Heathcliff.
The decision to cast Jacob as the lead role raised eyebrows among some die-hard fans of the novel. It sparked a larger debate over whether this is whitewashing the original story.
Many fans believe that the leading male role should've been given to another actor, as Heathcliff is described as physically dark-skinned, with black hair and equally dark, deep-set eyes in the novel.
He continued, "In Emily Bronte's novel, Heathcliff is described as dark skinned and compared to a Lascar. In this specific case, by casting a white actor, there is a risk of sanitizing the visceral and social conflict that makes so tragic and powerful to the story."
Nicoletti noted that Jacob is a talented actor with immense star power, with a dedicated fanbase that will likely be lining up at the cinemas. The 28-year-old actor has an impressive track record taking on complicated characters across a wide variety of genres, including groundbreaking roles in Saltburn, Frankenstein, Priscilla, and Euphoria.
Nicoletti said, "Jacob Elordi is the perfect talented star with an immense appeal reflecting exactly what audience and critics seek in 2026, so this kind of choice feels like an interesting challenge for Hollywood to prioritize aesthetics over social and political themes of literature."
