Toy Story 5 fans shocked at trailer as one beloved character 'needs a trip to Turkey'
Disney fans rejoiced as the official trailer for Toy Story 5 was released but some fans noticed a detail that they just couldn't get over and offered advice to a beloved toy
The first full-length trailer for Toy Story 5 has been released, and fans are excited yet slightly concerned for one toy's well-being.
Toy Story 5 is set to hit theaters on June 19, with Disney and Pixar releasing the trailer on February 19. The plot of the franchise's fifth installment centers on the toys' new owner, Bonnie, receiving a tablet as a gift and spending all her time playing with it instead of with the beloved gang of Buzz, Jessie, and Forky.
When the first teaser trailer was released in November 2025, fans spotted a major plot hole. But this time around, some fans on X (formerly Twitter) couldn't contain their excitement, while others noted the sweet reunion of Buzz and Woody. But one detail of the trailer stood out the most.
When Woody returns to his friends, he takes off his hat and turns around, revealing a bald spot that shone in the sunlight. One of the toys comments, "Someone needs a brown marker."
Later, Lilypad asks if Woody is an "old man toy," and when he expresses confusion, Forky shouts, "She thinks you're old because you're bald, Woody."
X users had a similar response, noting that the first Toy Story was released in 1995, so Woody being bald made sense because "so is half the world that watched Toy Story 1 when it was first released."the-mirror-icon_entertainment_movies_disney
Another joked, "They really gave Woody a receding hairline, bro is going through it. Pixar said we're making toys age in real time now."
"Finally, representation of the white balding men," a third wrote. Others noted that a certain country in the world was notorious for hair transplants and suggested it as a possible vacation destination for the cowboy.
"They gave Woody a midlife crisis; he needs a trip to Turkey," one fan wrote. Another added, "Toy story 6, they take a trip to Turkey, and the toys find a way for Woody to get a hair transplant."
Other X users brought up the old man who restored Woody in Toy Story 2, saying, "Someone get this man to fix Woody again and QUICK."
One X user looked for a philosophical meaning to the star's wear and tear, writing, "Making Woody 'balding' is a deep philosophical move. It shifts the franchise from 'adventure' to 'acceptance,' forcing the audience to confront the reality that even our childhood icons have an expiration date."
