5 best TV shows to start now in February that are 'actually worth the hype'
There's so much good TV available to watch now, but these 5 shows are worth adding to your list in February and they're so decent, they'll even give you 'goosebumps'
It's handy having a backlog of good TV shows to watch to keep you sane this February and these 5 recommendations are certainly worth it.
As the weather hasn't been promising, there's nothing more cosy than curling up on the sofa with a decent series to watch. Now a TV reviewer shared a number of shows that "are actually worth the hype" this month. Erina revealed her top 5 shows, which include one that even gave her "goosebumps" and the good thing is, some of them are available on Netflix or Prime Video.
In a video with her 221,000 TikTok followers, she said: "Here's my list of 5 TV shows to watch right now that are actually worth the hype."
1. Cross (Amazon Prime)
She continued: "I have been talking about Cross the whole week and will talk about it for the rest of the year because already the first three episodes they gave us in season two, I am so sat for this season.
"If you're looking for a murder mystery crime thriller based TV show that is black-led, then Cross is the one to watch."
2. A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms (HBO)
If you're looking for something which is similar to Game of Thrones, then this is the show for you. Erina continued: "The best part is you don't need to have watched the Game of Thrones to understand what is going on.
"It's kind of like a story within itself, but it has a little Easter egg past series. This show was so different to me because from episode one you have Sir Dunk who much seems like an endearing but foolish guy who doesn't know much about life.
"But he's very hopeful so you're kind of rooting for him immediately. But the last two episodes, specifically the last episode, guys like I actually got goosebumps. I got goosebumps watching it, it's so worth it."
3. The Lincoln Lawyer (Netflix)
The Lincoln Lawyer, which just recently released its fourth season, was next on Erina's list. She continued: "The Lincoln Lawyer is one of my favourites when it comes to Netflix, you need to be watching this series daily-mirror-icon_tv_tv-news_amazon.
"You think you like law based TV shows, nobody is doing it quite like The Lincoln Lawyer. Season four just came out, I literally watched it in one sitting, I'm already waiting for season five because of that cliffhanger.
"It is based on Michael Connolly books so I'm telling you right now, watch it because it's so good."
4. Ponies (Peacock)
Next up was the Peacock original series Ponies to which Erina claimed "it deserves more hype". She revealed: "It really is like a show based on mystery, crime and spy thriller kind of situation.
"But like the premise is really about these two women, their husbands die unexpectedly so they decide to go undercover on why exactly and what exactly happened to their husbands."
5. Tell Me Lies (Hulu)
Last but not least, Tell Me Lies was Erina's final recommendation. She described: "Why you think this show is strictly for women? No I think it's a case study that the world needs to be watching.
"I am so hooked on that show, seeing how evil Stephan DeMarco is, seeing how evil this friend group is. It's just like, honestly riveting to see how far they will go."
